Alison Azer is a writer, researcher and community organizer. Her writing has appeared in Alberta Views, Corporate Knights, and Avenue magazine and focuses on themes of social justice and injustice, human rights, and literal and figurative exodus. She lives in Calgary with her husband and 3 children. This is her 1st appearance at the Calgary International Spoken Word Festival.
