Multi lingual
I am oneand yet speak as many
My family's tongue articulates French
and some can twist a few words of English
Pero yo,
he aprendido à embrasser in Spanish,
my teeth muerdan sutto l’Italiano
et ma tête spins in English.
My laughter is Franco loud,
et mon coeur beats compassion
en Hebrew y Arabic
en English y French
en Spanish y Catala
en silence y sign language
in all those and none
Because languages are not barriers
they are reflections
of the words and feelings they carry
Loaded with meaning of geographical nature
I hold not a crystal, nothing transparent nor unchanging.
Instead, I bare the skin of a living thought,
and may vary greatly
according to the circumstances
in which I am found.
