This is the 4^th annual Spoken Word Program to be held at The Banff Centre!

This year 15 participants spend 2 weeks at The Banff Centre, cultivating their craft under the instruction of renowned faculty members – Brian Brett, Regie Cabico, Sheri-D Wilson (Director) – with workshops led by Louise Bernice Halfe, Steven Ross Smith, and the phenomenal Anne Waldman. Students are given time to write, one-on-one editorial assistance, tools to develop performance dynamics, recording opportunities, electronic media play-space, daily workshops and the chance to engage and collaborate in a vibrant network of Spoken Word Artists. The program is designed to engage, inspire and inform both emerging and established Spoken Word Artists in the craft, history, production, and distribution of this new and developing genre.
