Adrienne Adams

Adrienne Adams is a visual artist and poet with a BFA in drawing from ACAD. When she was 3 she decided she wanted to be an artist, at 9 she started keeping a journal and has been closet-writing poetry since she was 16. Three years ago she started frequenting poetry and spoken word events around town in order to break a silence she felt permeating her life. In love with metaphor she plays on images and words in both her writing and her visual art. Adrienne is dedicated to creating more cultural space to honour the feminine and qualities our culture views as feminine inĀ allĀ genders. To this end she created and hosts the quarterly event "Woolf's Voices" where female identified artists of all genres perform and display work that honours the feminine. You can see more of her work at
