The 2010 recipient of the soon-to-be-prestigious Golden Beret Award is: Wendy Morton (Victoria, BC)! 

The Golden Beret Award is presented to a Canadian Spoken Word artist who has made significant, lifelong contributions both to the Spoken Word genre and to the growth & development of their communities. The jury evaluated candidates based on the originality of creative process, mastery of genre (in writing & performance), innovation, use of technologies, and contributions to community.
