What is Word Travels?

Word Travels brings Spoken Word Poetry and the excitement of the Calgary Spoken Word Festival to Calgary students! Word Travels seeks to introduce your students to the possibilities of poetry in the written and spoken word forms. They will see that poetry is alive and vibrant, and their self-expression will thrive. Spoken Word is the perfect way to introduce your students to poetry.

What Are We Offering?

The Spoken Word Festival is bringing the best Slam and Spoken Word Artists in North America to Calgary. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and energize your students and get their creative juices flowing. We are offering the opportunity for you to bring your students to a 90-minute poetry reading and discussion group with three of the most distinguished slam artists.
